Comedy Legend Ronnie Barker Dies
I know Ronnie never appeared in Only Fools and horses, but I only feel its right to place a tribute to this legend of comedy.
Ronnie aged 76 died peacefully in his sleep, he had been suffering for a long period with heart trouble.
The world of comedy was was so rich with the writing and acting talents of Mr Barker, who starred in such comedy classic as Porridge playing the loveable inmate Norman Stanley Fletcher , Open all Hours as the tight fisted shopkeeper Arkwright.
He will be well remembered for his comedy partnership with Ronnie Corbett, in the "Two Ronnie's" which ran for over 17 years and brought such classic sketches as "Fork Handles".
A man that always seemed so friendly and a man many in the world of comedy looked up to as a perfect example.
He became a great friends with Only Fools and Horses start David Jason, due to their time together in the series "Open all Hours" and David was know to call Ronnie the "Governor"
Ronnie Barker will be very sadly missed particularly by his family and close friends, but also by fans of comedy, he will always be remembered.
Haven will now be a better place for his company, and I'm sure Ronnie will keep them laughing up there.
RIP Mr Barker......you will be missed by millions

Was very sad to hear this news today
Always seemed a lovely man, and one that people would just get on with.
When I think of the shows he appeared in and that all of them were a big hit shows how much of a great comedy man he was.
He will be missed, but his memories will always stay with us forever
